Madam Tengku Sharizad Tengku Dahlan
Madam Tengku Sharizad Tengku Dahlan is the Director of the International Science, Technology and Innovation Centre for South-South Cooperation (ISTIC) under the auspices of UNESCO, a position she has held since June 2020. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, she leverages over two decades of expertise in R&D management and international relations to advance global initiatives in science, technology, and innovation (STI) policy, gender equity, and sustainable development. Prior to leading ISTIC, she served as the Chief of International Affairs at the Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM), establishing herself as a prominent figure in fostering strategic science diplomacy across developing nations. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the Flinders University of South Australia and serves as a trustee for various regional development foundations.
