Dr. James Ochieng Sika
Dr. James Ochieng Sika is senior lecturer in Planning and Economics of Education and focuses on strategic planning, economic synthesis and modelling, critical path analysis and performance based management. Skilled in stakeholder engagement, instructional design, and experienced in designing training programmes and content development and delivery. In Maseno University where he is working, he has mentored many students both at undergraduate, masters and Ph.Ds in planning and economics of education while also serving as external examiner in several universities. In Kenya, Dr. Sika has worked with ministry of Education with core depth in quality assurance and standard, project management and evaluation, budgeting and critical appraisals, while occupying various leadership roles with Teacher service commission. With Gulu and FH Joanneum University, Austria- projects ongoing. With USAID & RTI in various projects leads and research. Internationally, Dr. Sika is participating in the third phase of the Harmonization, accreditation, and quality assurance in Africa higher education (HAQAA), and working with the Africa Union Continental Education Strategy for Early Childhood Education and development Cluster (AU-CESECDED). A member of the Future Earth East Africa Node, member of Africa network for internationalization of education and international society for development and sustainability
