Dr. Rael Teresa Adhiambo
Dr. Rael Teresa Adhiambo is an Environmental Scientist and Policy Specialist at the National Commission for Science, Technology and Innovation (NACOSTI), Kenya, working at the science-policy interface. Her expertise spans climate change adaptation, environmental governance, aquatic ecosystems, and the bioeconomy, with a strong focus on translating scientific evidence into policy and practice. She holds a PhD in Oceanography and Limnology from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, and has contributed to regional and global science–policy processes, including engagements with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). In the science diplomacy space, she is a member of Kenya’s emerging Science Diplomacy Network and serves on the interministerial working group developing the national Science Diplomacy Policy, contributing to efforts to strengthen evidence-informed foreign policy and international scientific collaboration.
